Windmill and Bush Shared Education trip to Parkanaur to study the habitat of our local forests.

P5 pupils from Bush and Windmill had a wonderfully sunny day out to Parkanaur. As part of their Shared Education  project they worked together to learn about and encounter the animals and plants of our local forest habitat. The trip was a nice link to our  WAU topic "rainforests". All the children can now compare and contrast the two forest habitats. Perhaps we'll make it one day to an actual rainforest! In the meantime it was fun to take part in activities and games linked to our local habitat. We played forest animal bingo. Went in search of the homes of various forest animals on our trail through the forest. We also went pond dipping and even had time to make a food-chains mobile. All in all , we had a  very fun-packed, educational day.
