This year the nursery class have visited the care home once a month since November. They walk up to the home and play in the main residents lounge, they have a train set, some play dough, books and some other games the care home has provided.
Each month the children have got more familiar with the residents and vice versa and by our last visit in June everyone was happy to chat to each other and play together.
In May we contributed some funds to the residents walking campaign to raise money for the Air Ambulance & had a Teddy Bear's Picnic.
A huge thanks to all the parents & grandparents who came along this year on some of the sessions to help out on the walk up and down. And most of all, well done to all the children who were so careful the walking up and down and when crossing the road.
Next year we hope to continue this project with the new class.
