Nursery Celebrates Outdoor Classroom Day (UK & Ireland)

The nursery class had one of their outdoor days today so they could celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day and join children all around the UK & Ireland (and further afield) by spending most of the day outdoors. They enjoyed building with the large wooden blocks, playing with water on a larger scale outside and cooking giant marshmallows on the fire. Some children even tried using the hammers for the first time to knock some nails into the tree stumps in the playground - we are hoping to fix our pallet den ourselves next week, so this was good practice. 

It was a lovely sunny day and the children just went inside for a short story and their dinner before heading back outside for more fun in the sun.
