Nursery are all one big class now.
The nursery children have been settling in the past few weeks in two small groups but on Wednesday they all came together to become one class of 27 children. The past few days they have had a lot of fun getting to know their new classmates & making new friends. Over the past few weeks they have learned a lot of new skills & routines: how to find their name & hang it up each morning, how to put on & take off their shoes & wellies, lining up for snack & washing their hands, choosing milk or water, waiting for their turn at snack, putting their plates away, tidying up the resources & listening to stories. The biggest skill has been saying goodbye happily in the morning & they have all done so well, so have all the grown ups.
I think we are going to have a lot of fun learning together this year in nursery.
