More Erasmus Plus KA2 Meeting news from Turkey.
Mrs Nugent, Mrs Donnelly and Mrs Corr have had a busy few days since they arrived in Izmir to meet up with some of our partners in the Erasmus Plus Project. At our first meeting we all voted to decide which countries logo will be the one to represent our project and Croatia won. Their logo best represents the maths theme of our European New Generation Project.
We got to visit Ephesus and walk around the ancient ruins - there were a lot of cats everywhere. The next day we travelled 3 and half hours away from Izmir to Pamukkale where there are natural hot springs and calcium pools. The was amazing and it was also beside the ancient city of Hierapolis.
On the third day, all the partners spent the day allocating tasks for the 2 years of the project and deciding when some of the next meetings will be held and where. Windmill will be collating a booklet of all the maths curriculums in the partner countries and Mrs Nugent is designing a tool for teachers to use to see what maths skills children will develop during the project.
The next meeting will be in Finland and then the partners will visit Windmill. Finally, we explored the city of Izmir in the rain before the last group dinner as the Danish partners fly home tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow, the rest of the partners will meet the Mayor of Izmir.
