Lots of maths fun in the nursery
As part of our Erasmus Plus KA2 Project 'European New Generation', the nursery children have been having lots of fun exploring different ways to count and sort and make patterns. Here are some of their favourite activities so far:
1) Rolling a dice to get a number and then getting that same number of pegs to clip onto their clothes or hair or finding the same number of objects in the playground.
2) Sorting the giant Lego bricks by colour into hula hoops.
3) Finding ice shapes in the playground
4) Making patterns with the mini beasts.
5) Making shape people with paper triangles, circles, rectangles and squares.
