Erasmus Plus Meeting in Łodź, Poland.

2nd Mar 2017

Mrs Corr travelled to Łodź in Poland for the first meeting of the 10 partners in the school's new Erasmus Plus project "inEDU inclusive education model for children with migrant background in pre-schools". Over the 2 days the partners spent time planning how the project's work timetable will pan out over the next 2 years and the role of each partner. Windmill is honoured to have been chosen, along with the Swedish partner, to highlight best practice in the integration of migrant children. Over the next 2 months our school will be sharing examples of our practice and working with other local schools & community groups to gather evidence of their practical ideas of how to ensure migrant children and their families are included in both the school & wider communities.

Mrs Corr was delighted to spend they in Kindergarten 152, as there were amongst our partners in our very first European Comenius Project from 2005-2008. The kindergarten has changed in many ways over the past 8 years since Mrs Corr was last there but the warm welcome from staff and children was the same.

Windmill looks forward to welcoming the partners from Sweden, Poland, Romania, Macedonia. Czech Republic and Estonia in May when they will have the opportunity to visit our school and meet with schools, community groups and others who have experience of integrating migrant children at preschool level and their families.
