AmmA Centre and Declan Carville, Children’s Author visits P7.

Priamry 7 had the opportunity to meet Declan Carville, children's author from Northern Ireland with 12 published books to his name. 'Nelly Fandango', a picture story book, written by Declan and illustrated by Mel Carroll was used as the themes relate to 'change', growing up, reflecting and looking forward. The pupils were able to look at these issues through the eyes of the characters in his book. The children then immersed themselves in a character development journey where they were expressive about the emotions, and the anxieties associated with change.
